For approaching 12 years, Hay Y’all has been philosophically dedicated to providing hay near
lowest-consistently available price. A minimalist and thrifty approach to equipment (and
maintenance), storage, labor, and marketing has been critical to our position. Consistent hay is
as much our differentiator as our low prices. We know our growers, and we actively
communicate with them. Fruits of this effort include: (1) visibility into available inventory; (2)
awareness of changing regional demand patterns; (3) grower comfort in holding large quantities
of various hay types; (4) comfort with dedicating a class 8 truck to delivering to us; and (5) the
year-on-year grower efforts to take feedback and change, everything from the crop to the
integration dimension (bale length, bale weight, bundle tension, how to load the trucks). These
relationships takes time to build. Not every grower fits our process. Across those 12 years,
we’ve learned hay is FAR from the commodity we initially believed we were sourcing and
selling. Wine would be our current best comparator. Every field, every grower, every season is
a little different. Those differences manifest in the product. Horses recognize this.
For hay clients, we have expanded to offer equine feeds and balancers, from trusted
brands.
The sheds now stock national brands (Hallway, Triple Crown, Tribute), super-regional brands
(Seminole, Tucker), and regional brands (Orangeburg, ProHeritage). Unlike hay, equine feed
manufacturers can have Minimum Advertised Price (‘MAP’) guidelines, so, while we’re confident
we can help clients stretch their equine nutrition budgets further when buying hay and feed and
shavings from us, don’t expect to see us advertising $10 bags of 50-lb national brand feed
prices. We do offer the basic types for as low as $12.50 a 50# bag, with multiple options
below $20.

Bagged, and a fresh take on bulk. $5 bags, fines or blended, pickup. Bulk sizes (2 cu yards,
7.5 cu yards) available for as low as the same price per cu yard as those dedicated-use bulk
trucks.
Aiken County delivery
Changes in equipment capability-availability make this the right time to introduce ‘no-touch’
deliveries, throughout Aiken County, of hay, feed, and shavings. Fewer laborers, faster
handling, and the machine doesn’t get tired after the first 10-tons. The human component
remains a key part of the reliable, equine-savvy service, and we’ve got a year of confidence built
with a gentleman showing up on time and executing professionally. Available for year-round
clients who can plan 3-5 days ahead and receive regular deliveries of a combination of
products. Coastal bundles delivered for as low as $10 a bale. Western alfalfa bundles
delivered for as low as $19. Small bag shavings, less-than-pallet quantity, delivered at $6. Bulk
shavings in novel formats at great low prices per cu yard. The machine makes large bale
deliveries a cinch, and we invite those clients to share in the savings.
For example, we can deliver 1st cut 3x3x8 large bales timothy-orchardgrass as low as $155. 3x4x8 alf-grass bales as low as $260 delivered. Coastal round bales as low as $85, delivered. Timothy round bales, as low as $140, delivered. For equine feed, we need to be careful not to break any manufacturer Minimum Advertised Price (‘MAP’) guidelines, but we can deliver your usual feed brand delivered at the same time, for the same price, while savings you on hay and shavings.
